Our History
Plainfield Karate was first created circa 1968 (over 50 years ago) by Joe Roupe and Larry Stout on US 40 in Old Plainfield.
Frank Love took over the Dojo, as a Brown Belt, in 1972.
In 1994, Frank’s son, Scott Love, was handed the reins.
Anthony Hathaway came onboard as advisor, in 2005.
In 2011, the Dojo moved to its present location, inside The Sports Center, on Gladden Road.
